People come to counselling for many different reasons. It can be a life crisis such as bereavement, divorce or separation, illness, relationship or employment problems. Sometimes you might have a sense that you are not living your life as you want to although nothing in particular is wrong. Stress and anxiety are increasingly common in the busy lives we lead.
Taking that first step of making contact can be hard and I understand that it can be really difficult to open up about things that are deeply personal. Being truly heard and accepted by another human being can be the beginning of a different and more satisfying life.
As a person centred counsellor I aim first and foremost to provide a safe environment where you will feel accepted and understood. I believe that each individual has within them the capacity to find their own way forward in life given the right conditions and this underpins my approach. I can offer a safe environment where you can express yourself without fear of judgement and be truly heard.
I can offer the chance to work creatively using person centred art therapy where you can interpret your own images to find meaning in them.
I charge £50 per session for individuals. I offer a free 30 minute assessment session so that we can see if we want to work together.
If you are unemployed, a student or have a low income reduced fees are negotiable.
